INGREDIENTS
1 steak (cut of your choice)
Water (enough to boil and submerge the steak)
1 teaspoon salt (for the boiling water)
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
Extra salt (for surface seasoning)
Freshly ground black pepper
Olive oil (for frying)
Optional: coarse salt (for finishing)
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: PRE-COOK THE STEAK IN BOILING WATER
Bring a pot of water to a boil.
Add:
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried rosemary
Once boiling, carefully lower the steak into the pot.
Let it pre-cook for 5 minutes, then remove with a slotted spoon.
Place the steak on a paper towel and gently pat it dry on both sides to remove moisture.
STEP 2: SEASON THE STEAK
Sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper on one side.
Flip the steak and repeat on the other side.
Optional: Add garlic powder or paprika to taste.
STEP 3: FRY AND SEAR THE STEAK
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a generous drizzle of olive oil.
Once hot, place the steak in the skillet.
Sear without moving until a golden crust forms on one side.
Flip the steak and sear the other side until equally browned.
Remove from the skillet and let it rest briefly.
STEP 4: SERVE
Slice the steak and check for doneness – it should be juicy and tender.
Sprinkle a bit of coarse salt on top while still hot, for extra flavor.
Serve with your favorite sides like rice, salad, or grilled vegetables.
