🥰Have you ever tried making your own vegetable broth from food scraps? You want to save the scraps of heartier veggies like onions, carrots, garlic and broccoli. Water based vegetables like tomatoes and cucumber won’t work as well.

🎉RECIPE
4 cups of vegetable scraps
Water
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt

Add the scraps to a large stock pot. Pour water over top, until it reaches an inch above the scraps. Add the listed spices.

Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover, and allow to cook for 3 to 6 hours. Drain the scraps, compost them, and reserve the broth. Keep in the fridge for up to 5 days as a base for soups or stir fries. Freeze for up to 3 months.
