Kimchi fried rice with creamy cheese sauce 🤤 This recipe has been trending in Korea for good reason! It might look weird at first but I promise you’ll change your mind once you try it ♥️
Here’s my recipe for two servings 👇
Ingredients:
- 1/2 can spam, cut into cubes (or 1 can of tuna)
- 1 cup chopped kimchi
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 2 servings of cooked rice
- 1 tbsp gochugaru (optional)
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup mozzarella (or however much you want)
- 1 slice cheddar
1. Add oil to a hot skillet, then stir-fry the spam until lightly browned
2. Add the kimchi and cook until fragrant, then season with gochugaru, oyster sauce, and sugar
3. Add the rice and mix until thoroughly combined
4. Make a large well in the center and fill it with heavy cream and cheese. (I didn’t use a full cup because I chickened out but in hindsight I should have poured it all!) Cover until the cheese is melted, then stir the sauce and serve hot
5. You can also garnish with green onion, crushed seaweed, etc., or just keep it simple like I did to let the cheese sauce shine!
