I don’t know how else to say this, but this is just the best darn pastry crust recipe. In terms of return-on-effort at least!
It’s not the prettiest, but it really can’t get any easier than this in the kitchen.
Ingredients:
- 1 box (not too big pls)
- 250g AP flour (sry for the typo in the vid!)
- 100ml water
- 100ml olive oil
- A pinch of salt OR sugar
Steps:
1. Throw everything into box
2. Shake
3. Shape
4. Blind bake for 15 min at 180ºC
5. Fill with whatever you like and bake again according to what the recipe requires
I’ve made quiches, savoury galettes, tarte flambée and fruit tarts (apple; banana) and it works like a dream every time 🥧
I know the absence of butter may baffle some of you, but please try this and let me know what you think!
