Service Operations Policy
This Service Operations Policy (“Policy”) supplements the Hemogry Terms of Service and provides detailed rules for how the service is operated.
If there is any conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Service, this Policy shall prevail.
Hemogry is designed to help users easily follow and cook dishes they discover through social media cooking videos. Accordingly, Hemogry analyzes “videos that contain actual cooking processes” and does not convert unrelated content into recipes.
1. Principles of Recipe Generation
1) Supported Platforms and Formats
Hemogry currently supports recipe generation only from:
- YouTube video URLs
- Instagram video URLs (Reels, single-video posts)
Only direct video URLs from these two platforms are eligible.
2. Content Types Not Eligible for Recipe Generation
Because Hemogry analyzes the visual cooking process, the following content is not converted into recipes. Instead, it may only be saved using the “Save Link” feature:
- Image/photo posts
- Mixed photo/video carousel posts
- Text-based recipe pages (blogs, websites, recipe portals)
- URLs from unsupported platforms (e.g., TikTok, Naver Blog, generic links, link-in-bio tools)
Salt is not deducted when saving such links.
3. Criteria for a Valid “Cooking Video”
Hemogry recognizes the following as an “intended cooking video”:
- The video’s purpose is to show a cooking process
- The workflow of ingredients → prep → cooking → plating is visually identifiable
- Explanatory cues (captions, narration, etc.) may be present but are not required
- The video is sufficiently clear for AI to detect ingredients and actions
Hemogry is not a video hosting/downloading service. It does not provide or distribute video files; it only analyzes them to extract cooking-related information.
2. Eligible Content for Recipe Generation
Hemogry supports recipe generation when:
1. The video clearly intends to teach or demonstrate cooking, such as:
- YouTube cooking channels
- Instagram Reels created as tutorials
2. The cooking process is visually identifiable, including:
- Ingredient placement
- Tools and heat control
- Step-by-step preparation or mixing
- Cooking time indications
3) Content with Limited or Low-Quality Recipe Output
Certain types of content may result in incomplete or low-quality recipes. Salt will not be restored in such cases.
1. Non-cooking Videos
Examples include:
- News, talk shows, variety shows
- Vlogs, travel videos, daily routine videos
- Mukbang videos with no cooking
- Advertisements, unboxings, promotional content
- Corporate/production line introductions
- Documentary or event footage with incidental cooking scenes
- Street food footage recorded from afar without clear cooking steps
Such videos often produce incomplete or meaningless recipes.
Salt deduction is normal and non-refundable.
2. Videos Lacking Cooking Information or Quality
Recipes may be inaccurate or incomplete if:
- Shots are too distant to identify ingredients
- Key cooking steps are skipped or overly sped-up
- No explanations/captions and fast scene-cut edits
- Poor lighting or blurriness hides ingredients/actions
- The video contains multiple unrelated dishes
Feedback can be submitted via the recipe detail page, but Salt will not be refunded.
3. Animated / Fictional Cooking Content
- Animation, cartoons, or game scenes often lack real cooking data
- Recipes from such content may be inaccurate or empty
- Salt refund does not apply
4. Prohibited or Inappropriate Content
Content below is not allowed and may trigger account restrictions:
- Hateful, discriminatory, violent, self-harm, or criminal content
- Depictions of unsafe or unsanitary food practices
- Videos that infringe copyright/personality rights
- Any act falling under “Prohibited Conduct” in the Terms of Service
Even if Salt is consumed, these attempts may result in:
- Recipe generation restriction
- Salt usage restriction
- Account suspension
4. Salt Usage & Refund Policy
1) Salt Deduction
Salt is deducted at the moment AI analysis begins, based on video length.
(Ex: 1 Salt per 5 minutes; >60 minutes not supported — details shown in-app)
Salt is not refunded in the following situations:
- Recipe successfully generated, regardless of style or completeness
- Video is non-cooking or lacks sufficient information
- Multiple dishes in one video result in partial extraction
- Personal dissatisfaction with content or format
2. Exceptions Where Salt May Be Refunded
Salt may be restored only when:
- Hemogry experiences a technical issue (server error, system failure)
- AI analysis fails to start or is interrupted before completion
In such cases, the service interface will guide the user through retry or refund options.
3. Summary of Non-Refundable Cases
Salt will not be refunded when:
- AI analysis completed normally
- The user knowingly attempts non-cooking or unsupported content
- Multiple recipes appear but only one is extracted
- Low-quality videos cause missing steps
- Personal preference (“not my style”, “portion looks odd”, etc.)
5. Misuse & Enforcement
Hemogry may limit service usage or impose account restrictions for the following repeated or malicious behaviors:
1. Repeated Attempts Clearly Outside Service Purpose
- Non-cooking videos, harmful content, prank/testing attempts
- Continuing attempts despite warnings in the Policy
2. System Abuse or Abnormal Activity
- Automated tools/bots sending mass requests
- Creating multiple accounts for testing/abuse
3. Disrupting Service Stability or Other Users
- Malicious feedback
- Spam, harassment, advertising, or abusive behavior in community features
4. Violations of the Terms of Service (Prohibited Conduct)
- Rights infringement
- Illegal or harmful activities
6) Policy Updates
1. Hemogry may modify this Policy to improve the service or comply with legal/platform changes.
2. For significant changes, Hemogry will announce updates in-app (notice, banner, popup).
3. Continuing to use Hemogry after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. Users who disagree may discontinue use or delete their account.
